Occasionally you may need services deemed specialized.  In that case, Dr. Salimi will be happy to refer you to one of our specialists who will continue to take excellent care of your dental needs.  The following is the list of the American Dental Association recognized dental specialists:

• Endodontist:  A specialist who only treats nerve problems.  He/she does root canal treatments and apicoectomy surgeries.

• Oral Surgeon:  A specialist who performs extractions, places implants, performs biopsies, does sinus lifts and other surgeries.
• Orthodontist:  A specialist who only treats patients with mal-aligned teeth.  He/she does braces and Invisalign.
• Pediatric Dentist: A specialist who only works on children.
• Periodontist:  A specialist who only deals with periodontal (gums & bones) issues.  He/she does grafting, re-contouring of the jaw bone and gingiva, sinus lifts, root planning, pocket elimination surgeries and crown lengthening.  Most periodontists also do extractions and place implants.
